Start progressing your switch skating with the Frontside 5050 Grind
Skating switch is one of the many joys of skateboarding. Some tricks actually feel better switch than they will in your natural stance. So if you’ve been working on your switch skating, getting your switch ollies consistent, it might be time for you to take the next step.
Here is my tutorial for Switch Frontside fifty fifty grinds.
Do you keep wearing holes in your shoes within a few days? Tearing through those fresh shoes too fast?
It’s inevitable. Skateboarding means dragging your shoe, repeatedly, over sandpaper (griptape). So it’s no shock that skaters wear through shoes frustratingly quickly. Shoe Goo was a good fix, but definitely not the best. It was, as it sounds, gooey. It dried rubbery which mean’t it wore out quickly too. (And looked awful)
Want to know what I use to make my shoes last 10 times longer?
Below is a tutorial for another one of the first ledge tricks you will want to learn, the Backside 5050. It’s the basis of so many other tricks, and it’s easy to learn. If you can ollie whilst moving, you can learn this trick. Some people will find the frontside 5050 easier to learn, others the backside 5050, so I’ve included the f/s 5050 tutorial in here for you too!
Enjoy, and Good Luck!
The Secrets of Skateboarding - Backside Nosegrind Revert Trick Tip
Below is a tutorial for one of my favourite ledge tricks, the b/s nose grind revert. The short version. A little bonk 180 off the end of a block rather than the long balanced nose grind nollie 180 out.
