Learn body positions from videos and magazines and practice them on your board at home. Practice grind positions on ledges etc.
Use a mirror to perfect these techniques and really visualise yourself being able to do these tricks. (This can be an amazing tool to improve your surfing when you can’t get the repetition needed in the water).
Take time to learn body awareness - Stretching, Recovery and Optimisation
If you have an injury, Keep moving. Move the muscles that aren’t injured and keep the body moving to help keep yourself sane. It helps maintain your fitness but also mental clarity. The endorphins will help you recover and stay on top.
